The Mirpur Take a look at pitch has been rated “under moderate” via the Global Cricket Council (ICC) after the second one Take a look at of the two-match sequence between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. As such, the pitch has won one demerit level in step with the ICC Pitch and Outfield Tracking Procedure. The demerit level will stay lively for a rolling five-year duration and if right through this five-year duration the Sher-e-Bangla Nationwide Stadium reaches the edge of 5 demerit issues, then it’s going to be suspended from staging any world cricket for 12 months.

David Boon of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC  Fit Referees, whose document has been forwarded to the Bangladesh Cricket Board, stated, “From day one, there was once proof of the ball breaking the pitch floor, which led to asymmetric jump during the event, together with inconsistent flip, which was once even over the top now and then. This pitch produced a competition that was once too closely skewed in favour of the bowlers, and didn’t give the batsmen a good likelihood to show their talents.”

Sri Lanka gained the Take a look at via 215 runs within 3 days with 681 runs being scored for the lack of 40 wickets. Roshen Silva with 70 now not out was once the top-scorer of the event.
